Most of us are still in social-distanced classes and let’s face it: it’s hard! We miss our friends and we miss the studio. But being isolated and having a reduced scheduled does give us time to appreciate the little things in life that we usually miss due to overbooked schedules. For the month of June, I challenge you to find something beautiful to celebrate everyday!
This time last year, I had an opportunity to watch Isabella Boylston, ABT principal dancer, perform in Twyla Tharp’s, In the Upper Room. The ballet is tremendously demanding and she was so effortless and perfect. That gorgeous performance stayed with me. All great performances do. I asked myself, why was that so extraordinary?
